#Morethanfootball Impact Report 2017
This Action Week Impact Report 2017 evaluates the initiative and gives credit to the fantastic work, which European Football Clubs, Foundations, Community Trusts, Leagues, FA’s and Organisations delivered all over Europe during the campaign.
As the report shows, these initiatives are the best prove that football has the power to change people’s lives for the better.
After launching the Action Week at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon on 23rd of March, the participating football clubs, community trusts, foundations, leagues, football associations and organisations celebrated the work they do on and off the pitch on a local, national and international level, thereby addressing key societal issues.
Just to name a few, in Belgium a football festival for children and young adults with a disability was organised, in Hungary a charity run took place to raise money for families with less financial means and in the Ukraine children took part in a football tournament in a secure environment.
Overall, 84 organisations from 28 countries participated in the Action Week and more than 80 500 people were reached.
These numbers show us that European Football is keen to get involved in initiatives that highlight the transformative role that football plays.
