With over 40,000 members, SV Werder Bremen is one of the largest and most traditional sports clubs in Germany. As a founding member of the Bundesliga, the “Green-Whites“ have already won four national championships and six times the German Cup. Werder celebrated the greatest triumph in the club’s more than 120-year history by winning the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1992. Landmark and home of the club is the wohninvest WESERSTADION with its characteristic floodlight masts, located close to the center between the river Weser and the lively district “Viertel”. T
oday, SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA has over 200 employees and is considered a national pioneer in eFootball and the club’s CSR commitment. Werder has been actively fighting discrimination and racism for many years. In addition, the club is committed to more diversity, gender equality and the promotion of women in the company through the “Fußball kann mehr (Football can do more)“ initiative. The club’s women soccer team is an established member of the first national league. As the first German professional club, Werder joined the global movement “Common Goal” in 2022.
