Urartu FC joins the #Morethanfootball movement!
Urartu FC decided to take part in the #MoreThanFootball campaign organised by EFDN.
The club has the biggest Football Academy in Armenia, where more than 900 children train. From an educational point of view, these types of programmes are very important to Urartu FC. The club is therefore involved in many community programmes.
Both this programme and the philosophy of the club is about football without borders and that it should be accessible to everyone.
The club cooperates not only with some sport organisations but also with educational institutions, such as colleges. Pupils of Yerevan Basic School visited Urartu Football Club, where they had the chance to tour the entire Urartu FC training ground, meet with the players, and even train with them.
Urartu began a cooperation with Homeland Defenders Rehabilitation Center, to help recovering soldiers while playing football and enforcing a good dynamic.
More recently, the club has created a fan zone, with all sorts of games in which boys and girls are invited to join, in order to gather fans as a community.
Urartu FC is on the move and intends on organising these kind of events on a regular basis, in order to create a good environment around the club through its activities and campaigns.
