Neftchi PFC raised awareness of autism during their training and match day
During the #MoreThanFootball week, The club from Baku, Azerbaijan not only uses the #WeAreMoreThanFootball hashtags on their social media accounts and on their channel ‘Neftchi TV’.
As part of the #MoreThanFootball activity weeks, children with autism took part in the training of their team last week at the initiative of Neftchi PFC. During the meeting, which took place at the Turkish Airlines Football Center, the children first met with the players, talked, and then played ball together. Very relevant, because on April 2 it was World Autism Awareness Day.

Also, during the Neftchi-Zira match, they showed a video about #MoreThanFootball Action Days for conveying what it is to their fans and their stadium. The commentator talked about the partnership and Neftchi’s project concerning Autism Awareness Day. Autistic children were able to accompany the players from both teams and the referees to the pitch.
