#Morethanfootball Action Weeks Kick-off and initiatives by Asteras Tripolis FC
For another year, Asteras Tripolis FC participate in the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks.
On March 21, the first day of the Action Weeks, which coincides with International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the club prepared a video, accompanied by photos, with people from their team from six different nationalities sending the anti-racism message.
The coach, Milan Rastavac from Serbia, Federico Alvarez from Argentina, Asier Benito from Spain, Leo Tilica from Brazil, Kevin Soni from Cameroon and George Kanellopoulos from Greece participated in the initiative. The six of them joined hands, creating a circle saying: We say NO to racism. We are more than football.
The club also participated in the humanitarian aid appeal for the war in Ukraine by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce. A delegation of the club visited the offices of the Regional Department of the Greek Red Cross of Tripoli and delivered essentials, as well as pharmaceutical and health material. Practical solidarity with our fellow human beings is the most resounding message for peace.
