The Fradi School Project – Ferencvárosi Torna Club
Ferencváros is #Morethanfootball through far-reaching community programmes, as the Fradi School Project, one of the most important social initiatives, which brings “fradism” to educational institutes.
During the #MoreThanFootball campaign week the social responsibility projects of Ferencváros will be presented. The Fradi School Project was launched during the fall of 2015 and has reached 20 thousand students in 90 schools since. The aim of the program is to reach the next generations who may later become the athletes or supporters of Ferencváros.
The project uses the most efficient tools to reach different generations. The participants can learn about the rich and grandiose history of Ferencváros through interactive and entertaining games.
All divisions are represented by their athletes, trainers or living legends who can showcase what it means to be an athlete and give practical advice about leading a healthy life.
Zoltán Nyíri, COO of Ferencvárosi Torna Club, believes that the Fradi School Project is one of the most important initiatives of the club.
– Ferencváros is the only club that has supporters all around the country. This means approximately 1,6million people. For this reason we thought that since they cannot all come and visit us, we must go and meet them. Our athletes teach the children about the values of sports, and what a successful life requires. It is very important to get this experience while being young, because the attachment to the club can be best built at this age. The children and their schools are always eager to meet our athletes. It is now the schools that apply for participation. Next year we will even cross the borders. All in all, this is a beautiful task – said Zoltán Nyíri.
The project supported by the EFDN (European Football for Development Network) and the UEFA Foundation was called to existence to present and promote the corporate social responsibility projects of European football clubs. Its aim is to reach as many people as possible during the campaign week with these noble activities and programs.
During the next days our readers can learn more about #MoreThanFootball and watch videos highlighting the activities of our club.
