FOOTBALL MEMORIES TASTER FOR ALL – THIS SATURDAY BEFORE THE GAME!
Continuing with their action-packed ‘More Than Football’ Action Weeks, Big Hearts is delighted to announce a special session of their Football Memories programme, this Saturday 7th April before the game Hearts vs Aberdeen at Tynecastle Park!
From 2pm all fans will get the chance to join their volunteers at the Big Hearts Zone, located on the Gorgie Stand concourse, to experience a taster of the project which uses memorabilia from as far as the 1930’s!
Football Memories is a pioneering programme from Alzheimer Scotland, run in partnership with the Scottish Football Museum. The project is known to improve the wellbeing of those attending, including older people living with dementia and those at risk of social isolation.
On Saturday prior to kickoff Big Hearts Volunteers will be on hand with a selection of old items and memorabilia including our own ‘Hearts Legends’ player cards and our brand new Tynecastle Memories Box.
Supporters are encouraged to come along for 10 minutes or 1 hour to get a first hand experience on the project and discover some unknown facts about the Club’s history! Our team of volunteers will be available to answer any questions on how to get involved in the programme.
Big Hearts’ Football Memories runs twice a month in the Hearts Museum and is always open to new participants.
