#Morethanfootball Action Weeks 2018

We are proud to announce that the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks 2018 will take place from 21st of March until 8th of April 2018, embracing the International Day of Sport and Peace on 6th of April. 

The #Morethanfootball Action Week is an event for the European football community to showcase the impact of their community and social responsibility activities and programmes. The initiative was launched in 2017 by the European Football for Development Network with support of the UEFA Foundation for Children. EFDN was proud to conclude that in the first #Morethanfootball Action Week in 2017, overal 84 organisations from 28 countries took part. Participating organisations included European football clubs, foundations, community trusts, football organisations, leagues and FA’s.

The new annual European-wide campaign provides professional football clubs, their community trusts, leagues, FA’s and football organisation the opportunity to host events that demonstrate the social impact of their community projects and thereby raise awareness for the transformative role European club football can play in changing people’s lives for the better.

Raising awareness for the power of football

Next to hosting events, in the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks 2018 the participating organisations will have the opportunity to to make content available, including videos and images that cover Community and Social Responsibility initiatives and programmes.
Through the hashtag #Morethanfootball, all organisations will be able to raise awareness for their CSR programmes and activities while being part of the European campaign.

We welcome the entire European Football Family to join us at the #Morethanfootball Action Week 2018, thereby contributing to a week that will entirely be devoted to showcasing the positive impact of CSR in football. All football clubs and their community trusts, leagues and FA’s in Europe are welcome to participate to showcase their activities within the areas of social impact.
